Construction Weekly Update

East Washington Avenue (Second Street to Marquette Street)

Work includes:

Completion of the pedestrian bridge over East Washington Avenue at Starkweather Creek
Completion of bike path from East Washington Avenue to Commercial Avenue
Median landscaping including trees, shrubs and perennials
Street tree plantings
Final pavement marking
Cleanup of various items

North Street will be closed at 6am on Monday May 12th and will re-open later that day.

Off-Peak lane closures will continue over the next couple of weeks as the contractor continues to landscape the median and as the final pavement marking is placed.

Some work will have lane closures at various times throughout the day (off-peak).
Bus service will be maintained through the East Washington Avenue construction zone, but modified. See Metro website or the project website - Metro Transit During Construction for details.
There will be no parking on East Washington Avenue in the construction zone.
Alternative Routes are I90/94 and the beltline.
